Hey, I'm Cass, the founder podcast production agency, good chat media and welcome to Good chats. Good chats is a podcast with a holistic approach to business and marketing. And with the help of some super special people, I'll be spilling all the secrets about boosting your brand, building credibility and connecting with community through podcasting. Let's get into the episode.

Hello, and welcome to the Good Chats Podcast. I'm Cass. I'm the founder of Good Chat Media, and we are a podcast production agency based out of Melbourne. We help powerhouse thought leaders boost their brand, build credibility, and grow an engaged audience through podcasting. So I thought what a better way to show I know my shit about podcasting, then through a podcast, so here I am.

This episode is about how I went from redundant to now being an agency. And even saying that out loud, I'm like, Oh, my God, I've done it gave me basically, let me set the scene. It's 2020, the big P word has just came in. I was working in sport. So not the easiest to continue through a pandemic, so I got cut. By the end of 2020, I was like, you know, what, make me redundant, I need the push to start something new. Before I left I like before the pandemic, I was going to live overseas. Anyway, in 2020, I was planning to go live overseas in either like Europe, or like London, or to Canada. So either way, I was out of here anyway. So it was fine. I was like make me redundant, whatever. Like let's move on with my life. I can't just keep sitting around waiting for this. So it came down to it. And they made me redundant. And although I loved that job, and I loved going to work, I loved the people.

I was like, Cool, let's do something new. And I'd seen a bunch of things on tiktok about being a virtual assistant. So I was like, Okay, let me look into this. Anyway, I found a course I liked. And I started at the following year, so early 2021 and became a virtual assistant started working with a few people. And initially I was wanting to work with brands that were really wanting to be sustainable in the way they worked. And so I called my first business, the Eco assistant, because I really wanted to help them make a change in the world. Then I realised those people aren't actually my people, and the things that I'm doing to help them I hate doing so why am I doing this to myself? And then I was doing some sub contracting work. And I was doing some podcasting tasks and working on this person's podcast. And I thought I'm finally I feel like I love something. Finally, I feel like how Yeah, I can't wait till this day comes around, so that I can work on this person's podcast, like it was the best best feeling. And I was like, why don't I just try? Why don't I just try and become a podcast VA. So then I niched jumped into podcast VA, and loved it found who I wanted to be working with, started doing the work that I wanted to be doing, and really felt purposeful.

And then last year, I went to Bali for three months. And I was living the digital nomad life, absolutely loving life. But it felt like there was something missing. So when I got back, I met with my girlfriends, and I was talking to them about this my business girlfriends, hashtag girls gonna work, love them. We had breakfast, and I was talking to them. And I was saying, I just don't feel confident showing up as the ecosystem. There's something that's missing. I don't feel like our lines anymore. And I'm not marketing myself. And I'm not trying to build a brand because the brand doesn't make sense to me anymore. So how's it going to make sense to anyone else? Of course meeting with your girlfriends, they're going to have brilliant thoughts. So Jordan says, if it doesn't resonate anymore, why don't you just change it? And I was like, Oh, okay. Is that just how it works? Is it? It is? It absolutely is.

So, from October, I started making the change over to Good Chat media. And we've just launched in the last month. And it has been amazing. Like, I feel so much more energy. And it's one of those things where it's like, where focus goes, energy flows. Thank you Tony Robbins. And it's just so true. I am absolutely loving it. It's not even like, the positive response that I've got, you know, hitting the dopamine. It's not even that. It's that I'm finally like, hell yeah, this is what I've wanted to be. This is how I want to set the business up. And I've been doing business coaching with Suz Chadwick. And she's just helped me so much in really getting down to like, really making this business, a frickin thing. Anyway, I'm obsessed, I love it. So here we are, we are Good Chat Media, the real mission of Good Chat Media is to help people do exactly what I'm doing now, which is boosting their personal brand, building credibility, and growing an engaged audience. This doesn't happen overnight. And that's okay. And that's why we're here. We want to help launch and grow your podcast. We're not just editing your podcast, we are going to edit your podcast. But we are focused on growth, growth, growth growth, which I'll get into, in so many episodes, so many tips, there's going to be so much it's gonna be great. We really believe that through strategy, we can come up with clarity. And having clarity in business in life is the best.

We also want to make sure that on our end, we're continuously learning, whether that be staying up with podcast trends and tips and all these kinds of things. But really understanding what people need, like our communication is going to be so strong, because we're like, what do you need? What do you need from us? What how can we help you? How can we help you grow. And even with I do growth strategy sessions with podcasts owners, and a lot of the time it's come from people that have DIY their podcast initially, and they're looking to improve the podcast. So make it better, make it stronger, make their messaging more clear, you know, be able to sell more and actually create content that converts. And that's our strong suit. So I'm so excited. I'm so excited to have this podcast out, and to have you listen to it. And you know what, it helps us grow our business, it helps me grow my personal brand as the podcast strategy queen that I am. So I'm so excited to share this with you. I know I said excited. I don't know if there's an excited count in this. Maybe I have to put it in post production. But I said excited a lot of freaking times because I clearly am anyway.

So that's all for this episode. It's a short but sweet. So in this launch, we are dropping three episodes. So this is number one. The other two are juicy. We've got one for launching your podcast, and then we have another one for my number one secret to monetizing your podcast. And I don't know if you know, but this is my most common question ever. People want to know how to make money through their podcast and I'm gonna I'm gonna spill the tea. So head over to those episodes. If you haven't started a podcast there how to start a podcast episode is going to be great tips on how to get started and launch with a bang. Now on a personal note, the goal of this podcast is to reach as many people as possible. And we would love if you left a review for us so that we can reach more people. I don't know if you know how reviews work. But basically you write a review, then the app say, oh, this person is credible. Let's bump them up so that more people can see them, then more people can see you in that category. More people come. And then you can make money that way because you're going to create content that converts.

So our 2023 goal is to have 100 reviews and ratings. So whatever you're listening to on this, please leave us a review and rating. We would absolutely love it. Anyway, I feel awkward now because this is my first ever design. I've had a great time but I've known talked out so I will chat to you guys next week. Next week we have a guest on actually it's two guests, but whatever. And I can't wait to get to on Episode Two.

We want to say thanks so much for joining us for another good chat. We would love if you would help us with our 2023 goal to get to 100 ratings and reviews and then send this podcast on to someone who you think will love it just as much. Connect with us on LinkedIn, Instagram, my Good Chat media and we'll We'll chat with you next week bye This podcast was produced by Good Chat media
