5 Things to Include in Your Show Notes

Every podcast episode needs show notes.

In the same way that you would exit a website that had a horrible user experience, I won't listen to an episode if the show notes aren't clear and tell me what the episode is about.

Here are 5 things to include in your show notes:

Summary

Give your listeners a summary of what this episode is about and some key points with a hook on why they should listen.

Keywords

Your podcast SEO is super important in helping your audience find you. When you use optimised keywords in your niche, you maximise your podcast's discoverability.

You can use these 3 tools to help you do keyword research:

Guest Info

Include your guest's bio and any links to their website, social media and any relevant mentions in the episode.

Freebies

Offer extra value and get your audience onto your mailing list by including a free resource as a lead magnet.

Call To Action

Let your audience know how to get in touch. Tell them exactly what you want them to do whether it's to book a call, check out your new course or join your Facebook community.

TIP: Set up a template for your show notes so you can follow the same style every week.

If you want to take writing show notes off your hands and any other post-production tasks, book a complimentary call with me here.
